This dark treasure is a strong, pungent salt, very rarely found outside of the Indian Subcontinent. In the United Kingdom, it is used mostly by those missing home and by the vegan community with its sulfur aroma and taste of eggs.
Black Himalayan Salt has been used since the ancient times and is said to have been discovered by Maharishi Charak, the Father of Ayurvedic Medicine from circa 300BC. It has since remained a well-kept secret as a cooling spice in South Asian cuisine.
